You've just had your heart broken. The man of your dreams has walked out of your life and you're blaming yourself for it. All of this guilt has placed your self esteem in reverse. So how do you get it back in drive again? The following should get you up and running in no time and have you ready for the dating scene before you know it.
Instructions
- 1
Get a new style. Completely revamp yourself from head to toe. Get your hair cut and colored, treat yourself to a day at the spa and get a manicure and pedicure. Pull out all the stops and pamper yourself. Do whatever it takes to concentrate on you instead of him.
2Go shopping. There is nothing that makes a woman feel better about herself than buying a new wardrobe. In fact, be wild and crazy. Buy clothes you would never have thought of buying in the past. Have fun with it.
3Show confidence. Even if you don't feel confident, act as though you are. At some point you will start believing the role you are playing and before long, it will no longer be an act.
4Make a list of all the people in your life who love you. This is a great way to help you realize how wonderful you are and how many people care about you. You will stop measuring your self worth by one relationship that has gone awry and begin measuring it by how many lives you have touched overall.
5Go out for a night on the town. Don't do this for the rebound effect, do this for fun with some of your friends. Laugh, joke and let your hair down. Meet new people and if a guy or two hits on you, then you will definitely feel your self esteem rise above the tree tops.
6Reject him. At some point, the man who broke your heart will surely call again. Forgiveness is an option, but rejecting him a time or two will increase your self esteem a hundred times over due to the fact that you didn't crumble at the sound of his voice.
