With the Internet constantly making communication between people easier, contacting an old boyfriend does not pose a much of a challenge. Kindle the spark of an old romance by establishing an open line of communication. As the two of you talk and catch up, you will have the opportunity to pursue the past romance again. However, before any spark can fly, you must first understand how to contact an old boyfriend.

Find his personal social networking site. Send him a connection request.

Send a short message to initiate conversation after he accepts your request. Small talk will open up a line of communication that allows you to begin talking regularly. Ask what he has done since the two of you last talked and take interest in his daily activities.

Mention a fond memory of your past romance casually. Explain how much that memory still means to you, and how it makes you feel when you think about it. He will begin reminiscing on the good memories of your relationship, too.

Give him your phone number. Tell him that he can call you if he would like to chat more. If he gives you his number too, wait a few days before calling or texting him. Otherwise, you may appear overeager.

Avoid appearing overbearing or desperate. Do not force the relationship to grow, or insist on talking to him all the time. Remember, although you had a relationship in the past does not mean that the relationship will automatically go back to how it was in the past.
