So your ex-boyfriend has a new girlfriend in his life, or perhaps your once-best friend made no longer wants you in her life. Whether it's a significant other or a close friend, when the people you love move on without you, it is a painful and confusing experience, especially if you don't know why. Regardless of what happened, if they've moved on, you must also move on, for your sanity and dignity, no matter how hard it is. Surrounding yourself with the people who love you and working on becoming a better you will help you move on successfully.

Talk to someone. Talking to a professional counselor can give you the clarity and strength you need to move on yourself and not get involved in toxic, unhealthy relationships again. A counselor can also help you identify negative behaviors that may have contributed to you being left behind in any kind of a relationship. Working on yourself mentally and emotionally is the first step on the road to feeling better about yourself and moving on.
2Stop calling the person, cold turkey. If you are calling constantly, leaving messages, and the person is not calling you back, you are wasting your time. Worse, the person is now thinking you are rather pathetic. Hold on to your dignity and stop calling immediately. In fact, delete the person's number from your phone and block or un-friend them from all social media platforms.
3Spend time with loved ones. You have to remember that you still have plenty of friends or family who love you and want to be around you. Take the time to rekindle old friendships that you may have neglected in the past. Appreciate relationships with loved ones that are drama-free, a refreshing change from the turmoil you may have been experiencing previously.
4Find a new hobby. Putting all of your energy into a new hobby or project will distract you from the painful thoughts of the end of a relationship. Try something you've always wanted to do, but never had the time to before. Take up hiking, join a community sports team, or sign up for a cooking class. Not only will you keep yourself busy, but you may end up meeting new, interesting people.
5Treat yourself. Go to the hair salon and get a new haircut, or splurge on a luxury massage at an upscale spa. Buy a new outfit to mach your new, positive attitude. The better your feel about yourself, the easier it will be for you to move on.
