While your initial intention may be to meet eligible bachelors, you may discover you enjoy the sport and take it more seriously. The more you play, the more opportunities you'll have to meet interesting single men who also play golf.

Get involved in politics or career networking. Join a local Democratic or Republican group, keeping in line with your own beliefs and values. If your employer has a membership to the local chamber of commerce, take advantage of the countless opportunities to network with others. Bring business cards, and don't be shy; if you see someone you may be interested in talking to, do not hesitate to approach him first.

Take a class. From Yale to UConn, Wesleyan to Quinnipiac, Connecticut has an array of colleges for the traditional and nontraditional student. Consider furthering your formal education, or take a web design, information technology or bar-tending class. The more opportunities you have to meet new people, the more likely you are to meet men you may have an interest in dating.
