How to Find a Lost Love in the Military

Keeping track of an old flame -- especially if he's in the military -- isn't always easy. People move, change telephone numbers and, in the military, often deploy to foreign countries. The U.S. Department of Defense provides little information on current service members. In fact, the Army and the Coast Guard do not provide personnel locator tools. However, the Air Force, Navy and Marine Corps each have services to help you locate a lost love in the military.

Instructions

Write a letter that states your desire to find your lost love. Provide his full name, his last known rank and the date he held it, and his Social Security number if you know it.

Fill out a check or money order for $3.50. Make it payable to the U.S. Treasury.

Place the letter and the check or money order in a legal-sized envelope. If you are searching for a member of the Air Force, mail it to:
