How to Attract Men -- Guide for Women

Looks aren't everything when it comes to getting a man. You need to present yourself in a nice package to get the initial attraction, but after that it is your personality that he is usually interested in. There are plenty of beautiful people in the world who are not pleasant to be around. Men do like women who take good care of themselves, but they are most interested in a woman who is enjoyable and fun to be around. Focus on your best traits as a person and allow them to shine through.

Dress nicely to accentuate your best features. Wear a moderate amount of well-applied makeup. Add a touch of perfume. The point is to dress nicely without over-dressing or wearing too much makeup.

Be positive. Men are not attracted to women who are negative, complain a lot or whine. Everyone enjoys being around happy people, not just men. A good attitude is attractive, but being silly is not. Have a good outlook on life, but do not turn into a giggling, immature person. Avoid talking badly about others.

Act intelligently. Most men do not want a dumb girl; they want an intelligent, competent woman to talk to and enjoy spending time with.

Avoid being needy. Men do not mind being helpful to women, but they do want a woman who is independent and can take care of most things for herself. Most men want confident, capable women.

Go out in groups of three. This size group of women is not too intimidating to men and if a man wants to chat with one of you the other two are not left sitting or standing alone.

Smile. It is hard for a man to approach a woman and if she is aloof he may not even try.

Be genuine. You cannot keep up an act forever, anyway, so be genuine from the beginning.

Make eye contact. If you do not look at him, he does not know you are attracted to him. Avoid staring him down, though. Show him that you are interested by paying attention to him and what he is saying. Avoid scanning the room with your eyes, because this gives the impression that you are looking for someone better to talk to.

Wait awhile before asking him what he does for a living. Asking too soon makes you look like a gold digger.

Consider your reasons for wanting to attract men. If you dress and act in a sexy way, do not be surprised if men interested only in sex is all you get. For a long-term mate, dress and act in a way to attract a man who is looking for this type of relationship.
