How to Get a Guy to Stop Calling

Although you may have loved the sound of his voice once, hearing your ex-boyfriend on the phone now is becoming worrisome and annoying. Get him to stop calling and end the relationship for good without conflict and without hurting his feelings.

Instructions

Be up front with him. Let him know you're getting on with your life, hoping to see other people and would like to stop communicating with him until you're completely over each other. Although the truth hurts, it may be easier for him to deal with than the strategies you'll use if he continues to call.

Act impolitely while you're on the phone if he still insists on calling you. Interrupt the conversation with comments to other people, the need to answer call waiting or distractions as if you're paying attention to the television-anything to make the call an unpleasant experience for him.

Delete any text messages and photos he sends to your phone. Even a terse response may make him believe it's okay to continue.

Ask one of your guy friends to answer the phone next time your ex-boyfriend calls. It may startle him enough to stop calling if he's holding out hope of getting back together.

Block his number or change yours if all else fails. Prepare to deal with the fallout if this will anger or upset him. Contact the authorities, however, if his reaction turns dangerous or abusive.
