How to Know If a Boy Has a Crush on You

Sometimes it's really obvious when a boy has a crush on you, but other times it can be difficult to figure out exactly what is going through his mind. As long as you are observant of his behavior and pay attention to what his friends say, you can find out if he actually has a crush on you or not.

Watch his behavior carefully. Maybe he makes an effort to spend time with you. Maybe he makes you the center of his attention. In some cases, a younger boy will actually treat a girl worse if he has a crush on her because he doesn't know how to deal with his feelings. The point is, figure out if he treats you differently than he treats all the other girls.

Ask some of your mutual friends if they have heard anything about a possible crush. Boys will inevitably talk about their attraction to girls, and you just need to figure out who he has been talking with. Have a chat with that person. Be careful about who you talk to about this topic because it may get back to the boy that you're asking questions about him. For this reason, only ask people you trust to keep your questions quiet.

Approach the subject with the boy indirectly. You can ask him questions about any possible crush he may have without actually suggesting you know he likes you. If you have a crush on him, you might want to tell him that you have a crush on someone without revealing that you're talking about him. This may be what you need to steer the conversation toward talk of who he likes.

If you're uncomfortable with talking to the boy face to face about his possible crush, send a friend to find out. Only ask someone to do this if she has the finesse to pull it off without making it obvious that she was sent by you. Your friend should find a way to directly ask the boy if he has a crush on you. He may be more comfortable answering the question from a third person who isn't directly involved.

Sit down with the boy and ask him yourself if all else fails. He may be surprised at your boldness, but it's a surefire way to find out what his feelings are. He will tell you whether he does indeed have a crush on you or not so you won't have to wonder anymore. The two of you can also figure out if you would like to try having a relationship--that is, if you like him, too.
