How to Deal When Your Ex Has Moved On

So the relationship is over, but you are not over your ex quit yet. Then you see they are already moving on. How do you deal with it? It is hard, and there is no way to instantly feel better. It may take awhile to get over your ex,, but seeing them with someone else can make it even harder!

Instructions

Occupy your time -

Hang out with friends and family so you are not alone feeling helpless. When you just sit around it gives you more time to feel sorry for yourself and focus on the negative emotions. Rather you want to pick yourself u and surround yourself with people who love and support you. Get out and find something you love to do. Get back to who you where before you were with your now ex.

Don't put yourself down -

Do not sit around and think of all the things you did wrong. No one is perfect! Allow yourself time to feel the way you feel and don't get down on yourself for having the feelings that you do. Make sure that you are patient with yourself and deal with things now. If you suppress the feelings now they will creep up on you later on and you will go through this over and over. Deal with things now and give yourself as much time as you need without isolating yourself from the rest of the world. Make sure you talk to someone and write in a journal to help let your feelings out. Each and every person will experience a different amount of time it takes to heal, so be kind and patient with yourself.

Rediscover yourself -

Many people change through the years and even tend to give up bits and pieces of themselves for relationships. Did you have a love for a sport, activity, hobby or anything else that you quit doing for awhile? Get back into it and rediscover your interests. What hopes and dreams did you have before the relationship that you may have given up on or simply forgot? Think about what you like and what you want to do and do it! Allow time for you to get reacquainted with yourself and discover that you are worthy of so much better then a mate that gives up to easily.

Let go -

If your ex broke up with you and you still have lingering feelings for them it can be hard to let go. However if you broke up with them, they could possibly be trying to make you jealous. The best thing to do is realize why the two of you broke up. If he/she is unwilling to try to work things out then it is time to move on yourself. Yes it easier said then done, but it is necessary. Realize it is their loss and get out into the world to see what is out there.

Learn from the experience -

You may wish you could go back in time and do a few things differently, but that is not possible. So he only thing to do is learn from your mistakes and invest the knowledge into your next relationship.

Sometimes the only reason we are feeling any jealousy towards an ex, is because we are feeling they moved on to fast. Think about if you really have lingering feelings for him/her or if it is just resentment that they may be over you. It is a tough pill to swallow, but it may just be your ego, so get out there and move on as well.

When you see your ex keep your composure. You don't want to lose it in front of them and their new partner. It may only boost their ego! If it is to much to take, excuse yourself from the situation politely and get out of there! Not only will your ex feel they are winning in a sense, but their new friend will most likely be more intimidated by a person who is calm, cool and collected rather then one who is falling apart.

Time heals -

Allow some time to pass and you will start to see you feel a bit better as it goes by. The same way physical injures take time to heal so does a broken heart. After some time goes by it will start to ease the pain and you will be able to move on.
