How to Handle Being Ignored by Your Boyfriend

Relationships can be a hard-fought battle when people fail to communicate. This becomes an even greater challenge if your boyfriend is ignoring you. But he may seem like he is snubbing you when, in reality, more is going on. He might have become so comfortable with you that he doesn't realize what he is doing, or he could be going through a rut and he might need your help. As a worst-case scenario, he might have lost interest in you.

Instructions

Confront him. Tell him you feel like he is ignoring you and you want him to pay more attention. Allow him to give a reason why he is ignoring you. He may tell you he isn't doing it intentionally.

Give him space. He might be going through a rough patch. Allow him to initiate conversation with you when he is ready.

Gauge why he is ignoring you by inviting him to an event you both can enjoy. If he refuses to come, he may be losing interest.

Start ignoring him back. This could cause him to stop taking you for granted and make him try harder to earn your affection.

Break up with your boyfriend if he won't change. When a boyfriend ignores you, he often causes you more negative emotions than positive. Another man could be the person for whom you are looking.
