How to Fix a Huge Argument With a Girlfriend

Fixing a fight with a girlfriend takes some humility and effort. Resolving a fight is much easier if you show a girlfriend how special she is and how much the relationship means. Fix the fight as soon as possible to get your relationship back on track.

Say sorry. This is the easiest way to fix a fight with a girlfriend. She'll appreciate your humility. Make it heartfelt and serious. Truly mean it and make sure she knows you mean it.

Initiate a serious "talk" about whatever the fight was about. Usually she always has to start serious conversations. This time, show her you care enough about the relationship to do it. During the talk, make sure not to start another argument by trying to be right. There's something that men say about women and arguments: "Do you want to be right, or do you want to be happy?"

Promise to not do whatever it was that started the fight, or whatever it was that made her start the fight. This is important because you want to have resolved certain issues. She'll be more willing to fix the argument if she knows the issue won't present itself again.

Bake her an "I Love You" cake or cookies. It's romantic, cute and different than the usual bouquet of flowers. It also shows you put time and effort into choosing and making her favorite treats without going overboard on other types of gifts.

Buy her the movie "Say Anything." Women love that movie, especially if they think you'll even slightly resemble uber-romantic Lloyd Dobler.
