It is not always easy to be up front about feelings, but often it is necessary in order to take a relationship to the next step. When sharing your feelings with a guy, it is easiest to do with someone you already know well as a friend -- in this case, it is easier to guess what his reaction will be. However, you may decide to take that step with someone relatively new in your life, if your feelings are growing strong. The best way to do this is, usually, to be very casual about it so the guy doesn't feel pressured into an immediate response.

2Mention, first, the recent things you have done together or talked about. For example, if you went to the movies together or played an online game together you could say, "I really enjoyed it when we saw that movie/played that game together."
3Write a bit about his positive attributes. For example, if you enjoy his jokes you can mention how funny you think he is and how nice it is to talk to or be around him.
4Tell him that you like him. You can say this a number of different ways, but it is usually best to be blunt by the time you've gotten to this point in the email. Use the words, "I really like you." You can add, "I would love to spend more time with you, if you feel the same way."
5End the email by discussing something you both enjoy or have in common. For example, if you are both attending a university you could just discuss class work or just about anything else that will end the email on a casual and upbeat tone. Use a smiley emoticon at the end to keep the email positive and lighthearted.
6Save the email in a draft folder until you have re-read it, checking for spelling errors or other issues that could detract from your message. Send the email when you are confident it states your message clearly and nicely. If you know the guy has a stressful job or is involved in other stressful events, time sending the email for a weekend or other less stressful days so he will feel less pressure.
