How to Tell Your Ex-Boyfriend You Love Him

It is common for women to have feelings for an ex-boyfriend. This is especially true when the relationship was filled with love and excitement. However, women also hold onto feelings for ex-boyfriends when they are lonely or bored. Before professing your love to an ex, make sure that you have true feelings for him. Write a love letter. You may find it easier to express yourself in writing than in words. Carefully craft a letter that is sincere and expresses the love that you feel for him. Share your innermost thoughts and feelings, reminisce about the love that you shared with him and tell him exactly why you feel this way.

Select a song or poem that expresses how you feel and memorize it. Create a romantic setting and sing the song or recite the poem to him. If you are a skilled pianist or guitarist, play a tune as you read or sing the words.

Purchase an "I Love You" gift. Buy a baked treat, coffee mug or jewelry piece that has "I Love You" written or engraved on it. Plan a dinner date and present it to him after your meal if a connection still exists.

Say it without hesitation. Meet your boyfriend for a casual lunch or dinner and express your love for him. The direct approach can save you time, energy and money. His reaction will let you know if he feels the same or if you should move on.
