Consider what type of woman you would ideally want to start a relationship with. Use this information to list the characteristics and general qualifiers that would peak your attention. Ditch the bar and consider a local comedy club or lounge. Go with a close friend or very small group. If you see a woman you want to buy a drink, do so the right way. Send a waitress over with a polite note, attached to a Cola or Wine Spirit, inviting her to join your group. If the woman joins your group or signals that it is okay for you to approach her, use the time to genuinely learn of her interests, personal goals and lifestyle. Listen attentively to discover if the woman has the potential to be a romantic partner.

Get involved in a sports or community activity that allows you to meet and interact with women. Do not aggressively pursue a lot of women. Instead, opt to get to know one woman who is of particular interest. Get to know her through the group and eventually encourage her to spend time with you outside of the group setting.

Join a singles group. Look on-line for a singles group in your area. Be sure to choose a group that best matches your profile. There are groupings for divorced dads, men forty and over, coeds, as well as many other categories. For specialty groupings, consider an organization that advertises this specific preference. For example, younger men interested in older women.

Consider a personal ad in your local newspaper. Be creative, honest and summarize the core quality of who you are as a person. Use humor, wit and intelligence to get this information across to your reader. Make sure it is clear just who you are and what you are looking for in a romantic partner.
