Great Questions to Ask Women on First Dates

The first date should be all about getting to know your potential new partner in romance. One of the most effective ways to understand your date is to pose an assortment of questions throughout your time with her. If you constantly find yourself at a loss as to what to ask the beautiful woman who sits before you, prepare some simple questions ahead of time, ensuring that you have a catalog of queries at your disposal.

Interests

Ideally, you and your new partner should share some common interests. See if you have any shared likes by querying her as to her interests. Ask her what she enjoys doing during her free time, drawing attention to the activities that she enjoys in which you also take part. Perform an informal survey of her favorites by asking her about her favorite book, movie and TV show. After each item, comment upon her selection or share your favorite of that item in return.

Family Focus

Show your interest in this new partner by asking about her nearest and dearest family members. Ask her to tell you about her family, giving you some insight into her background. If a holiday is approaching, ask her how she and her family members normally celebrate the holiday in question. This may provide the opportunity for her to share some funny family stories over which you can both share a laugh.

The Future

Ask your date about the future, but do so with care to ensure that you don't sound overly eager or pushy. Inquire as to where she would like to live ultimately or what her primary career goal may be. If you wish, ask her if she plans on having children one day, particularly if having kids is something that is of great importance to you.

Relationship Wants

Help yourself determine if you are the guy who is going to make your new partner's relationship dreams come true by asking her about her relationship wants. Ask her what she is looking for in a guy, giving her the chance to tell you what makes her tick. While you don't want to delve too deeply into past relationships, you may also want to ask her what things have proved problematic in relationships past so you can avoid these potential missteps.

Digging Deep

If seeking even more to discuss with your new partner in love, ask some deeper questions. Ask her who she would like to meet if she could meet anyone, allowing her to tell you who she views as an idol. Alternatively, encourage her to think back upon happy times by asking her to relay her best memory to you. As she tells you about this happy time in the past, she will likely enjoy the recollection and appreciate your thoughtfulness in posing the question.
