Break ups are inevitable for the vast majority of people; few people marry and spend the rest of their lives with the first person they ever dated. Should you find that you still care for your ex-girlfriend and want to share your feelings, you can do so. However, before you profess your undying love to your ex, consider from where your feelings stem; you could be feeling jealous because she's dating again or because you miss the familiarity of being in a relationship. Call your ex-girlfriend and ask if she's willing to schedule a time to meet with you. Choose a location that is neutral territory, such as a coffee shop or restaurant.
2Speak with her about your feelings. Explain you still care deeply about her despite the fact that she broke up with you. Ask her to explain why she broke up with you -- unless you already know. Own up to any mistakes you made in the relationship that ultimately resulted in her decision to leave you.
3Listen to her response. Don't be defensive; listen to what she has to say. Depending on her reason for ending the relationship to begin with, she may or may not be willing to give you another chance. However, you will never know unless you tell her; the worst thing she can say is that she doesn't feel the same. Thank her for her time and move on if she is not willing to give you another chance.
