Unfortunately, some relationships do not last forever. Whether the breakup is over a long-disputed argument or the chemistry has fizzled out, time apart may be the best thing for you both. Although he may not make it easy on you, there are ways to win him back.

Give Him Space

Giving your ex space may be the most important way to win back an ex. For some reason or another he decided that the relationship was not working, so do not push him. Most men do not like to be pushed into a corner, stalked or constantly harassed by girlfriends, especially ex-girlfriends. Stepping back and giving him space, room to breathe, may help win a man back.

Be Flexible

Be flexible with your ex. Perhaps the two of you lived together and it's time to retrieve a few belongings. Whether he calls and demands his stuff back or you have a few items you need to pick up from his place, be flexible and do not force the issue. Women sometimes push the issue as an excuse to see their ex. Show him that you can work together, as this may help convince him to stay together with you.

Socialize

Develop new friendships. Start socializing with others, especially to keep your mind off of him. The last thing you want your ex to think is that you are sitting around waiting for his call. Instead of being lonely and depressed, get out and have some fun. More than likely he will see you around town or perhaps hear a rumor from another friend. Seeing you out or hearing it from someone else may spark an interest in him wanting you back.

Be Patient

Do not give up immediately. No matter why you two split up, there is always the possibility that he will come back. Give the guy some time to adjust being on his own, and do the same thing for yourself. It is probably a good idea to be on your own for a short period of time--it will give you both time to grow and figure out what you are looking for in a long-term relationship.

Call

Pick up the phone and give him a call if you want to win him back. If the two of you have just recently broken up, wait a few weeks or a month before you get in touch with him. Once the connection has been made, ask him out to a favorite restaurant, or take a walk in the park and seize this chance to reconnect through communication. Let him know you are still interested, and wait for his reaction.
