Men who are womanizers tend to be involved with several different women at the same time. They may mislead each woman into thinking that she is the only object of his affection. Womanizers are frequently not interested in pursuing long-term relationships; they generally are only interested in having sexual encounters. As a result, their actions can be very hurtful to the women that they woo. Some women fall in love with womanizers and find it difficult to get over them.

Take some time for yourself if you are trying to get over a womanizer. When you're alone reflect upon what happened with the womanizer and the relationship that you had with him. Think about both the good and bad aspects of the relationship. Consider any signs that you have may have missed at the time that indicated that the man was a womanizer. Think about the good aspects of not having that person in your life right now. Write down your thoughts in a journal.
2Find someone you trust and confide in her. Be honest. Tell her about your relationship with the womanizer and how it ended. Discuss how you found out the man was a womanizer and how it made you feel.
3Pursue new activities. Find a new hobby or go to new and different events. New activities can distract you from thinking about the womanizer. Doing new things may also help you discover that you have interests or talents that you weren't aware of. For example, you may discover that you have a passion for painting, playing tennis, hiking or going to foreign films.
4Limit the contact that you have with the womanizer. It is not necessary to cut off all communication with him unless you find it too painful to be around him. However, do not telephone or e-mail him frequently. Try to avoid running into him for the first few months that you are trying to get over him.
5Meet new people. Go to bars, clubs, art galleries, sporting events, social affairs organized by your friends, parties and other places where you might be able to interact with new people. While doing that, you might find a new love interest.
