First Gifts for My Girlfriend's Birthday
Whether you've been dating your girlfriend for six weeks or six months, that first birthday gift you buy her sets the tone for all of the gifts to come. You don't have to spend a lot of money to get her something romantic and unexpected. Simply consider her interests and make sure your gift comes from the heart. Future-Based Gifts
If you can see yourself being with your girlfriend beyond the next few dates, buy her something to tell her that you see her as part of your future. Think theater, opera or concert tickets for an event that will occur within the next two or three months. You could even book a weekend getaway and wrap up airplane tickets or a copy of a hotel reservation. Your girlfriend will appreciate knowing that she is a part of your future plans.

Has your girlfriend mentioned that she's wanted to try something new, such as skydiving, golf lessons or whitewater rafting? Make it happen for her. Better yet, make yourself a part of it, too. Not only will you fulfill a dream for her, but you'll also impress her with your attention to detail. You'll show that you were actually listening when she mentioned her aspirations to you.

Because some women consider a gift card too impersonal, it should be your last resort only if you cannot think of anything else to get her. Just make sure to get one that you know she'll appreciate, such as a gift card to her favorite retailer, to a spa where she can get pampered, or for horseback riding or some other experience that you can enjoy together. Include a handwritten card expressing your feelings for her to make the gift more personal.

How to Leave a Ten Year Relationship With a Girl
A woman who has spent ten years by your side might assume that your relationship is a solid and reliable one; however, all things --- including relationships --- can come to an end. Even after spending ten generally blissful years with your partner, you may decide that the relationship just isn't for you. Upon reaching this decision, breaking it off properly is an important, albeit difficult, thing to do.

Choose the proper time. It may seem tempting to exit the relationship as quickly as possible. While you don't want to lead your girl along and delay the inevitable, it is also appropriate to consider the timing of your breakup. If you are nearing a holiday or her birthday, for example, the gentlemanly thing to do is wait for a more appropriate time.
2Break it off respectfully. The end of your relationship doesn't have to be a fireworks display of pent up emotion. As you end the relationship, attempt to do so without incident, avoiding getting into an argument about everything that either of you has ever done wrong, but instead making it clear to her that you feel that the relationship has run its course and, as a result, should end.
3Give her reasons for the breakup. If you fail to tell the girl you once loved why you are ending things, she may spend many sleepless nights wondering just what she did wrong. To prevent her from having to endure this emotional distress, give her, as gently as possible, some specific reasons why.
4Avoid debate. If the girl with whom you are ending things was committed to your relationship, she may be eager to try to save it. Try to prevent here from debating the merits of your relationship or making promises that she can't keep ----- such as promising to change something that you know she can't --- by telling her that you have made your decision and that you aren't going to waver. While she may not like this response, it will likely help her move on more quickly.
5Discuss the relationship you hope to have in the future. In all likelihood, you are not going to simply stop talking to this girl with whom you have had such a lengthy love affair. As your relationship draws to a close, talk about the friendship you hope to form, if you hope to form one. If necessary, set boundaries such as calling times to help you both get used to this new setup.

How to Get a Girl Back After Breaking Her Heart
If you've ever broken someone's heart and ended a relationship, you may have experienced a tremendous amount of guilt and regret over your actions. 7Ask her out on a date once you've started to get closer. Let her choose the destination and activities for the date and then be sure to pay.
8Be willing to make changes in order to accommodate her needs in the relationship. If you have a certain behavior that upsets her, such as lying, do as much as you can to change the behavior or work through it together.
9Move slowly with the new relationship, especially if that's what she asks for. She will need more time to rebuild her trust in you before things can get serious again.
10Accept it if she says no to dating you again. Remain kind and friendly toward her and she may be willing to give it another try in the future.
